Buy TOS$ with Podex

Buy grid currency for the avatar linked to your TheOarShop.com account. TheOarShop sends your linked avatar details to Podex and then sends your browser to the secure Podex purchase page.

  1. Link your OpenSim avatar to your website account.
  2. Click Buy TOS$ with Podex.
  3. Choose the amount and payment method on Podex.
  4. After Podex accepts the transaction, its in-world payout terminal delivers the grid currency to your avatar.

Sell TOS$ through Podex

Selling starts in-world because the Podex sell terminal must receive the grid currency before Podex can process the sale.

  1. Visit The Oar Shop.
  2. Pay the Podex Sell terminal the amount of TOS$ you want to sell.
  3. The terminal sends the amount and your avatar details to Podex, then gives you a Podex web link in the viewer/IM.
  4. Open that link and follow Podex's instructions to complete the payout or exchange.

Do not send TOS$ from the website. The in-world sell terminal is the step that confirms Podex actually received the currency.

Linking is required for website purchases

The website will not create a Podex buy link for an unlinked account. Linking tells TheOarShop exactly which OpenSim avatar UUID should receive the purchased TOS$.

Hypergrid visitors are welcome

You do not need to be a resident of TheOarShop Grid. Hypergrid visitors can link the avatar they use in The Oar Shop region. Podex's terminal protocol uses its Hypergrid compatibility identity when an avatar registration date cannot be queried across grids.
